Rebel Fox is a marketing communications firm specializing in tourism, culture, and community storytelling. We work with destinations, museums, and cultural organizations to elevate their visibility, engage audiences, and inspire travel and exploration.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Public Relations Account Executive with extensive experience working with destination marketing organizations (DMOs) and a strong understanding of how to position places, experiences, and attractions for media coverage. Experience with museums or cultural institutions is a strong plus.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and exceptional communicator who can lead day-to-day client activities, craft compelling media pitches, secure national and regional coverage, and manage press trips and influencer engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned destination and cultural clients.
  • Develop and execute PR strategies that align with client goals and drive measurable results.
  • Write press materials, story pitches, talking points, and campaign reports.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with travel, lifestyle, and culture media.
  • Secure earned media placements and coordinate familiarization (FAM) trips and media visits.
  • Monitor media coverage, analyze results, and prepare client-ready reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in marketing, digital, and creative services.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in public relations in destination marketing communications. This is non-negotiable.
  • Strong media relations experience and an existing network of travel and lifestyle journalists.
  • Excellent writing, pitching, and storytelling skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Experience working with museums, cultural organizations, or nonprofit clients is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field.

Compensation:

  • Salary range: $60,000-$75,000 (depending on experience)
